Blog #3 Safety and Laws and Fairness
Copyright is a legal term for ownership. The owner can do whatever they want to it and if others want to use it they have to pay the owner. Fair use is a person's ability to use a copyrighted work as long as it's used legally and appropriately. It has to be used for educational purposes only and credited to the creator or owner. As a teacher, I'd probably just read or something and avoid legal stuff. Students can do their own thing and run it by me for accuracy or something.
Academic dishonesty is basically cheating. Do not cheat. It gets you nowhere. I would suggest my kids to not plagiarize or cheat and threaten them with the "it'll show up on your record and you won't be able to go to college is that what you want". Cyberbullying is literally bullying but on the inter web so you can say the meanest things and they'd never know. Also, you can't tell because you can't hear the tone of what people say so they can always lie and just say whatever. I'd tell my kids not to do this because one way or another you will be found out. People can always track other people down.
Y'all I made a digital newsletter and it was terrible. I did not know what I was doing. I mean, I did know what I was doing I followed the instructions but I just did terrible I don't know what I was doing. I learned how to hyperlink and make columns and use the WordArt again. It's been so long since I played around on Microsoft Word. I could improve the entire thing and make it pop more, add more color, more pizzazz. Check it out below! Also, here's a learning and teaching moment: I did not cite the photo of Tom Hardy, so here's the link: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/09/tom-hardy-james-bond-idris-elba

Evelyn, I totally agree: cheating gets you nowhere. I think threatening children about cheating is a good way to kind of stray them away from cheating because it's so easy to cheat nowadays. Also, especially with advancements in technology, it's super easy to cyberbully anyone. Your newsletter is so creative though, it's very bold and grabs your attention.
