Blog #5 - Twitter, softwares, and the digital divide
Twitter is something I have to get used to y'all. I made an account, but I have yet to follow people and start tweeting and retweeting. I tweeted once and that was easy, but I feel the rejection from the zero likes and zero retweets. I plan on solely interacting with educations and classmates/peers. However, if I somehow became twitter popular, it'd be super beneficial and helpful to get the word out about stuff and advocate for certain things.
Digital divide is the gap between people who have internet and technology to use the web and people who simply don't, or have to go to little to extreme measures to get internet and technology. It affects students everywhere because they often have to leave home and go to a public space to use the wifi or computers. They also might have to steal a neighbor's wifi. So it affects their record and they might have to stay out late to finish homework or a project and thus decreasing their sleep time and social time. The economy and job losses are some factors into digital divide along with low minimum wage.
Ooh, academic softwares. I'd allow my kids to use wolframalpha and photomath. I'd let them use easybib and things like that but I'd emphasize that if it isn't correct they get marked for that so they need to be sure to check it over and make sure it's the correct citation or whatever. I'd love for them to use wolframalpha because it not only gives you the right answer quickly but it also gives you step-by-step solutions. You have to pay for that but my imaginary school would cover that. I'd tell them to use photomath and easybib for a quick answer but they need to check it over to see if it's accurate. I'd let them use these things cause I remember when I just gave up on a hard math problem and got a zero for it because I didn't know how to solve it and it made me feel bad. I don't want these kids to feel the same way.

Your blog is so well organized. I think you post really interesting information and format it very nicely. This is a great example of what a blog should look like and I definitely plan to use your page as inspiration to make mine more aesthetically pleasing. This is the point of the blogging, getting ideas from others, so it is really cool to see the process working.
