Blog #7: Teacher websites, tools and productivity
Me using technology to accomplish my professional responsibilities is not a reality. I have never been able to use technology to get my life in order, I don't know how or why I just never have. I mainly use notebooks and random pieces of paper. It works for me. I use my phone calendar for my work and school schedule but that is it. Anything with passwords and usernames, it's in my head and on random pieces of paper or in notebooks. I guess I do it old school. #sorrynotsorryme
Oh my lord PBWorks. It's simple looking and complex looking at the same time. It was easy for me to use when I used it cause all I did was create a page and write stuff in it. I would not attempt to create a wiki on it 'cause I am just not feeling PBWorks. Wikis can be used for information and links to certain topics and fun things. I don't know, I admit I never used a teacher's website to get somewhere. Google always had and has my back.
I used Chiles High School in Tallahassee, FL. via the Leon County Schools site. I just Googled "chiles high tallahassee" and it's like the first thing that pops up. Anyway, when I went to stalk some teachers I found that not all of them have a real website. By that I mean a link that takes you to an actual website, some have an actual website and some have like a sub link in the Chiles website that just details a little bio about them or links to stuff related to their field. Anyway, all I saw are short bios and links and really bad websites.
